Personalization of medical device interfaces: decreasing implant-related complications by modular coatings and immunoprofiling

A new editorial in Future Science Open Access Journal from our CEO and CSO. Personalized medicine currently plays a major role in reducing complications following surgery involving a medical device. There are several million implants per year, which also drastically increases the number of complications with an increase in nosocomial diseases. Personalized medicine can play a role in solving these problems and can be illustrated in different ways such as implant positioning using 3D technology.

Solutions from an immunological point of view are still poorly developed. SPARTHA Medical offers solutions following pre-implantation and post-implantation diagnosis based on immunoprofiling. Indeed, these technologies can improve implant results by significantly reducing complications.
